Terms of service
In force from 10 October 2026.
These are the terms on which moe is offered: the service at mcp.animate.moe, this site, and the pages that play what you publish. Using the service means agreeing to them. They are written to be read.
What moe is
moe lets an AI of yours write animations as text, check them, draw them and publish them. You connect your AI with a key; it works in projects kept in your account; what you publish is played by a page at an address anyone may open.
Your account
- You sign in by a link sent to your email address. There is no password. Whoever can read that mailbox can enter the account: keep it yours.
- Keys let a program act as your account. Keep them as you would a password, and revoke at your page any that may have got out.
- One account is for one person or one organisation. Addresses made to be thrown away are not accepted.
What you make is yours
Your projects, and everything made from them, are yours. You give us leave to keep them, to draw and build them when your AI asks, and — for what you publish — to send them to whoever opens their address. Nothing more: we do not sell them, and do not show them as ours.
What you put in a project — fonts, pictures, sounds, words — must be yours to use. A published page is public: anyone with its address can open it, and unpublishing takes it down.
What may not be done with it
- Nothing unlawful, and nothing that infringes someone else's rights.
- No publishing of what is made to deceive, to harass, or to harm.
- No attempts to get into other accounts, to overload the service, or to get round the limits of a plan.
We may take down what breaks these terms, and close an account that keeps breaking them.
Plans and payment
- Making is not counted on either plan. What a plan counts is how many projects you keep, how many are published, how much they hold, and how often what you published is played each month. The numbers are on the pricing part of this site.
- Past the number of plays, your work goes on playing. We tell you by email, once in the month.
- On the free plan, what you publish is played with a small mark that says it was made with moe and leads to this site. On Pro there is none.
- Pro is paid monthly, for an account, through Stripe, which takes the payment and keeps the card; we never see it. It renews each month until you end it.
- You can end it at any time at your page. It runs to the end of the month already paid for, and is not charged again. Months already paid are not returned in part, except where the law says they must be.
- When Pro ends the account is on the free plan. Nothing is deleted for that; what is over the free plan's numbers stays, and you cannot add to it until it is under them.
- If we change the price, we say so by email before it applies to you, and you can end the plan first.
The service as it is
We work to keep moe running and your projects safe, and we cannot promise it will never stop or lose anything. You can download any project whole from your page: do, for what matters to you. The service is given as it is, without warranties of any kind, as far as the law allows.
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for losses that follow indirectly from using moe — lost profit, lost data, lost business — and what we owe for anything else is at most what you paid us in the twelve months before.
Ending
You may stop using moe whenever you like, delete your projects and revoke your keys at your page. We may end the service, or an account that breaks these terms; where we end the service itself we say so in advance, by email, so that you can take your projects with you.
Changes to these terms
When these terms change, the date at the top changes, and where the change matters we tell you by email before it applies. Going on using moe after that is agreeing to them.
How what is yours is kept is in the privacy notice.
